Happy Year of the Rabbit
Welcome to the Year of the Rabbit—which actually begins Feb 3, 2011 and continues until Jan 22, 2012. It's time to let your hare down, hop to and lighten up.
By all accounts the rabbit is one of the more peaceful and peace loving signs of the Chinese zodiac.
It portends to be a more tranquil year than the turbulent Year of the Tiger we just survived. We can hope, can't we?
Hopefully we can look forward to a year of diplomacy and the soothing of ruffled feathers—or should I say fur?
Rabbits bring kindness and sensitivity and compassion. As they say, rabbits are lovers, not fighters.
People born in the Year of the Rabbit are known for their sense of taste and style. They bring an appreciation of the arts.
Rabbits enjoy learning about cultural issues and learning about people from other countries.
Rabbits are friendly, outgoing and prefer the company of others. They also prefer to avoid conflict. In confrontational situations, rabbits approach calmly and with consideration for the other party.
Rabbits believe strongly in friends and family and lacking such bonds can lead to emotional issues. Rabbits, being such sensitive creatures, can appear moody or to have spells of melancholy. They may feel vulnerable and tend to keep things to themselves.
Even though rabbits don't usually get visibly upset or stressed, they may tend to keep these feelings inside. When they don't express these feelings, such feelings can cause rabbits to become ill.
Rabbits could benefit from more regular physical and social activity, which would reduce their stress levels and improve their health.
According to Chinese tradtition, the rabbit brings a year in which you can catch your breath and calm your nerves. It is a time for negotiation. Don't try to force issues, because if you do you will ultimately fail.
To gain the greateset benefits from this time, focus on home, family, security, diplomacy, and your relationships with women and children. Embrace diversity.
Make it a goal to creat a safe, peaceful lifestyle so you will be able to calmly deal with any problem that may arise.
