Happy Year of the Sheep/Goat/Ram. Whatever you call it, it's not baaaaad!
Call it the Year of the Sheep, Goat or Ram: it really doesn't matter, because it's all the same. What's important is that this is meant to be a year of peace and calm (somebody please tell the president, pronto). The Year of the Sheep is, in short, a mini Age of Aquarius. "Harmony and understanding, sympathy and trust abounding" are some of the hallmarks for the year of the gentle Sheep. It is a time to relax and make peace with ourselves and with others. The influence of the Sheep brings us closer to our home and family and helps us prioritize our focus on those we are closest to. Be sure to let go of petty worries, stop and smell the roses and share the moment with someone near and dear.
It is also an auspicious time for communal activity, group ventures, gatherings and such. We should make an effort to spend more time with family and friends. Also, by expressing a kind and compassionate attitude we will ensure that we make many new friends and acquaintances, as well. On the work front it is an especially good time to work collaboratively with others and use our networking skills to expand our circle of connections.
The Sheep is said to be the patron of the arts, and so it is a good year for the pursuit of things creative and aesthetic. Take this opportunity to indulge your whims and fantasies, which in turn may well lead to innovative plans and solutions. Allow yourself time to dream and reflect this year, and you will reap future rewards.
On the flip side, we mustn't let the docile nature of the Sheep cause us to be passive to the point of our own detriment. Sheep can be oversensitive and fretful, and we need to guard against becoming discouraged or complacent. By being true to our higher aspirations for peace and our inner creative voices we can live out the true potential of the Year of the Sheep.
